Abstract:
The roof of Terminal T3B at the Capital Airport is a 958m×775m big span hyperboloidal hollow tri-pyramid grid structure with mixed nodes, supported by 124 shuttle-shaped steel columns arranged in a net of 36 m×41.569 m, and the construction area of the grid is 141,000 m2, total steel consumption 8571t. The application of this technology has not only ensured the construction quality but also greatly shortened the construction period, achieving good social and economical benefits.
