Abstract:
Chongqing International Development Financial Building has a 5-floor basement and its foundation pit is excavated by using mechanical perpendicular cutting method. The external wall of basement is also used as retaining wall, whose embedded depth of foundation is 21.2m. After excavation, several longitudinal cracks appear on the shist stratum and cause surface water leakage. But the retaining wall is supported by formwork only on single side, so it is difficult for leakage prevention. Therefore, water-proof and drainage combined construction method, including buried pipe drainage for prevention of rock wall leakage, external prevention and internal paving method and pressure relief on leakage prevention layer, is adopted to successfully solve the problems of waterproof and leakage of external wall in super-deep basement.
