Abstract:
The Watch Tower Project in Beijing Olympic Park is a high-rise steel structure. In order to strengthen the steel tube column which is main force bearing member of the tower body, the strength of internal concrete is improved and concrete pouring height is increased to resist the structural load. During construction of steel tube concrete column, the concrete is poured in segments by high dropping method, which utilizes the kinetic energy generated by dropping from a high level during pouring to realize self-flattening and fill the steel tube column. Vibration-free self-compacting high strength concrete is used to reduce concrete shrinkage, ensure reliable bonding between steel tube and concrete and guarantee concrete pouring quality.
