Abstract:
In order to research the calculating method of flexural capacity for fire?鄄damaged reinforced concrete (RC) beams with carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets strengthening, the flexural capacity of fire?鄄damaged beam was analyzed with cross section analysis?郾The fire exposed region includes tensile region and compressive region?郾A procedure was developed for quantifying the amount of bending moment of fire?鄄damaged RC beams with an external strengthening CFRP sheets?郾A modified maximum strain CFRP equation was recommended?郾The proposed method was verified under the experimental results as well?郾The results show that the proposed approach is capable of predicting bending moment of fire?鄄damaged RC beams with an accuracy that is sufficient for design purposes?郾
