Abstract:
After field observation about conditions of instable side slope in foundation pit and consideration of frequent shallow layer rain landslide of flexible supporting system in clay soil stratum, reasons causing landslide accident are analyzed through the test that clay soil may be softened by water and side slope safety calculation procedure. The analysis results verify that soil collapse and water softening are the primary reasons causing shallow layer landslide. Relevant prevention measures are adopted, such as modification of slope gradient, crack prevention at slope crest and prevention against rain penetration, etc.
