Abstract:
According to the primary and secondary beam joints with high strength bolted connection, the value of the eccentricity is too large at present design if the torsional effect to the primary beam doesn't be considered. According to the theory analysis and finite element calculation on the joints, the more reasonable value for the eccentricity is got. It can reduce the numbers of the high strength bolts, simplify the joints' construction and save the construction cost. The experiment results of the joints prove that the reasonable value for the eccentricity is right. It provides a reference for high strength bolts' design in engineering projects.
