Abstract:
Taking a high-rise building as object and basing on the monitoring data, an analysis of the horizontal displacement and the differential settlement caused by deep excavation of Hefei Rail Transit was conducted. According to the settlement of observation records and computational analysis, using the method of diaphragm wall is very effective to control the deformation of the soil in excavating deep foundation pit in soft soil area. The results of numerical calculation and analysis show that with this method the soil horizontal deformation of the podium building foundation can be controlled at below 3 mm difference, and the building inclination resulting from the settlement is within the specification limits. On account of the complex geological conditions,the selected parameters of the numerical calculation may not be entirely consistent with the actual situation, so there’s a certain error between the calculated results of settlement and the monitoring data.
