Abstract:
Overall safety inspection, aseismic assessment and aseismic reinforcement design are carried out for the teaching building in a school according to national requirements for school building safety. The building could not meet the minimum requirements of applicable standard for aseismic assessment and has relatively obvious eastward inclination and differential settlement. After analysis and assessment, design concept and relevant reinforcement measures and methods are put forward for newly-built shear wall, structural column and wall. The reinforcement involves short construction schedule, large workload and high requirement for cost control, so general consideration shall be taken in the reinforcement design to determine reasonable reinforcement scheme and to realize favorable overall benefits.
