Abstract:
Semi-grouting coupler uses both threaded connection and bonding connection to effectively reduce the coupler length and grout consumption. Based on calculation by finite element software model, steel bar may break due to excessive local stress after applying external load larger than tensile strength of steel bar, while coupler could still work because its stress is smaller than its yielding strength, so semi-grouting coupler could ensure the connection strength reaches even exceeds the strength of steel reinforcement. After semi-grouting coupler went through one-way strengthing test, repeated high-stress tensioning and pressing test, repeated large-deformation tensioning and pressing test, it was found that strength and connection performance of semi-grouting coupler could meet the requirements of relevant standards.
