Abstract:
Shanghai Tower is a super-large and super-high building with various functions, such as offices, hotel, conference center, commerce and sightseeing platform, etc. This project encountered complex branch systems, large number of participating units, design and application of many innovative concepts, and high difficulties in effective transmission of information and cost control, etc. BIM technique was applied in the whole process of design, construction, operation and maintenance, so as to effectively control collection, processing, storage and exchange of engineering information at different phases, and to support the decision maker of the project to reasonably harmonize, plan and control the project, and to meet optimized technical and economic requirements within the whole life cycle of the project.
