Abstract:
Information exchange is tested from the aspects of IFC standard and Revit application program interface (API) platform. The test results show that: IFC standard is suitable for the information exchange of structural physical model; the information exchange interfaces based on Revit API focus on the point of transforming analytical model, and test results grossly depend on the type of the structure. In addition, there are many problems such as simplification issue of transforming 3D node into analytical node. In terms of PIEM issues, the function of IFC standard should be expanded and plug-ins between Revit and PIEM should be developed, which will realize the function of importing the reinforcement configuration from the structural design software tools to Revit and realize the interaction between PIEM tagging and reinforcement entity as well.
