Abstract：
Deep soft silty stratum is common in coastal regions in South China, so measures were adopted for foundation type selection and foundation treatment in the design of a 120’000t/d sewage treatment plant with consideration of different building shape and bearing capacity. Settlement and deformation problems were successfully treated and solved, realizing favorable effects.
