Abstract:
Considering the insufficient study on horizontal displacement of soil along pit edge and with the purpose to comprehensively analyze the influence of foundation pit excavation on surrounding underground structure and displacement of building and structure, this paper conducted theoretical analysis and explored the law of soil displacement along pit edge. 18 out-of-pit soil obliquity testing holes were set on construction site of a foundation pit project. During foundation pit excavation, orthogonal directions of obliquity testing hole were monitored. It was found that the monitoring result was in accordance to the theoretical analysis. Based on the monitoring result, the function for calculation of soil displacement along pit edge was proposed.
