Abstract:
A new method of allochthonous control for monitoring deformations of deep foundation pit by 3D laser scanning is proposed to solve the difficulty of setting stable control points at the construction site. The coordinate systems of the point clouds in different phases are unified by the stable control points away from the foundation pit. By setting fixed target balls as special monitored points in key region of the foundation pit, both the whole surface of the foundation pit and special points in key region can be monitored, and the difficulties of distinguishing the false deformations from the point cloud and determining correspondent points are solved. An experiment, that the deformations of a deep foundation pit in Tianjin are monitored by using Faro X330 3D laser scanner, is done. The results indicate that the new method of allochthonous control is feasible, and the efficiency of monitoring is promoted on the premise of high precision.
