Abstract:
In order to study the seismic performance of damaged masonry pagodas strengthened by grouting and surrounding-hoop reinforcement in the WenChuan earthquake. Two models with a floor by using the third layer of DeYang as the prototype which built according to distribution rule, and simulated seismic action make its shock damage, then strengthened by grouting and surrounding-hoop, to test it by low cyclic experiment. Results showed that: the energy dissipation capacity and integrity of masonry wall which strengthened by grouting and surrounding-hoop were significantly improved. Through commercial software Ansys Workbench simulate it. The results showed that finite element analysis results were in good agreement with experiment results. On the basis of experimental data, putting forward the bearing capacity formula of masonry wall which strengthened by grouting and surrounding-hoop, that basis for bearing capacity calculation.
