Abstract:
In this paper, based on the Morison equation method, the influence of the hydrodynamic pressure is considered using the additional mass.The self vibration characteristics of the rectangular solid pier and the hollow piers under the action of dynamic water pressure and the variation of the seismic response peak with the water depth are studied.The results show that the depth of the pier into the water, the greater the surface of the water, the greater the reduction of the natural frequency of the dynamic water pressure, and relative to the solid bridge pier, the hollow pier natural vibration characteristics of a greater change.With the increase of water depth, water pressure effects on the seismic response of bridge piers also increases, along the bridge direction (upstream) peak seismic response of the increase is greater than the cross bridge to attack small water), the maximum difference reached nearly 150%; hollow pier seismic response peak increases to a greater extent than solid pier, the maximum difference is approximately 70%.
