Abstract:
Adopting Hardening-Soil finite element model based on Unloading, the influence of the internal wall insertion ratio on the retaining structure and the deformation of the excavation was studied based on the basic model of the pit of a metro transfer station in Suzhou. The results show that the lateral deformation of external wall has been affected slightly by internal wall insertion ratio, except for the baseboard failure with insertion 0.25, that of internal wall and bottom increase with insertion ratio growing with the opposite trend of internal wall bottom. Significant uplift area appear about 10m near the internal wall with the maximum uplift 96~99 mm, which has not been affected by insertion ratio, but the uplift area increase with insertion ratio growing. The uplift maintain 90mm at outside of significant uplift area without influence of insertion ratio. The bottom uplift and ground settlement of external excavation have been less affected by the insertion ratio.
