Abstract:
Harbin city is located in a cold area where the structural deformation due to thermal expansion and contraction effect is much worse than other areas of China. During construction of Harbin railway station, deformation control measures were adopted for subdivided work, such as concrete structure, steel structure, metallic roof, external curtain wall and indoor pipeline, etc., which are often exposed in the air. Based on theoretical calculation and construction experiences, enough deformation amount and temperature releasing stress were reserved to successfully avoid the adverse influence of temperature deformation on construction quality.
