RESEARCH ON DESIGN OF STAGGERED STEEL-TIMBER TRUSS

Abstract:
Truss,which bears gravity load directly and is the main latitude horizontal resistance structural component, is essential for the integral mechanical behavior of staggered truss steel-timber combined structure.On the basis of the initial laying-out of steel-timber members,this paper, according to a certain truss span, analyzes the varieties of the load bearing behavior of the truss from the different number of the panel,the different location of the vierendeel panel,and the different arrangements of web members. Results show that the initial layout scheme of steel-timber members of the truss is reasonable and feasible,vierendeel panel can't be placed at the end of the truss.It also gives the feasible styles for web members and the proper panel number of the staggered truss steel-timber combined system.
