Abstract:
: An art museum, built in 1994, is planned to be heightened by one more storey due to functional requirements and to be repaired and rebuilt. Based on quality inspection of the building structure, aseismic calculation and analysis, it is determined to adopt the reinforcement scheme of changing the structural system. Concrete shear wall is set at appropriate position, and twisting effect is reduced through adjustment of the shear wall position and stiffness. Reinforcing measures are also adopted for the beam column to ensure the cooperation between the new and old systems.
