Abstract:
The mix design of fly-ash concrete and the effect of fly-ash content on the setting time, early-age cracking, strength of the concrete are studied in this paper. Through experiment, it can be concluded that the setting time of the fly-ash concrete was delayed and the early-age cracking performance is improved with volume of fly-ash increasing. But the early strength at 3 days and 7days decreased greatly and the later strength increased obviously. The strength of high volume fly-ash concrete at 56 days can meet the designed requirements based on saturated surface-dry aggregate mix design.
