Abstract:
Combined with the deep excavation of South Xizang Road Station of Shanghai Metro Line 8, some key construction measures used in the deep excavation for metro station undercrossing the viaduct in complex geological conditions in Shanghai soft-soil areas are presented, including adjusting construction sequences of boring piles, adjusting layout of high-pressure jet grouting pile and working time intervals, ground improvement with high-pressure jet grouting inside the pit, adjusting supporting system, adjusting construction sequences of inner supporting structures, selection of machine equipments and countermeasures against structure floatation. These measures ensure the safety of the deep excavation and minimize the impact of the deep excavation on the adjacent viaduct pile foundations; meanwhile, some precautionary measures for potential risks are put forward.
