Abstract：
The value of Chinese ancient timberwork is mainly shown on the following three aspects: high historical value, artistic value and scientific value. At present, there are two timberwork reinforcing methods, including integral reinforcing method and component reinforcing method. Related protective measures are adopted for timber buildings whose different positions are damaged in different degrees.
