Abstract:
The original scheme of important water gallery of Europe Pressure Reactor (EPR) New Power Station requires to backfill plain concrete within the full scope from the gallery bottom slab to the slightly weathered granite. After analytical demonstration, a new scheme is adopted that replacing plain concrete by graded broken stone for backfill and reserving the strong weathered granite and medium weathered granite. This scheme has technical feasibility and has been successfully used in gallery engineering to obviously reduce investment.
