Abstract：
Cracks appear at several positions on a dormitory building and qualification analysis proves that they are caused by differential foundation settlement. Considering practical on-site conditions, foundation base is reinforced by small pile under-pinning at both ends and lateral confinement surrounding hoop at medium segment. Such reinforcement method is convenient and economic, and favorable reinforcement effects are proved after practical application.
