Abstract:
Laterite soil and expansive soil, which belong to special soil, both perform the swell-shrinking and fracture behaviors. It must fit the code for subgrade filling. Through the compaction and CBR test, lime modification may improve the swell-shrinking and bearing index. From the experimental data, filling moisture content should be 3.0% more than optimum moisture content. The proper mix and detection methods must be used to ensure the subgrade disposition quality of lime expansive soil and lime laterite.
