Abstract:
In this paper, the physical and mechanical properties of sticky rice-lime mortar were investigated. Sticky rice solution, with the concentrations of 0%, 3%, 5% and 10%, was added into the cement mortar with the same mix proportion. The compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and surface hardness were tested at required ages(28d, 56d, and 90d ) respectively under natural curing. Results show that properties of compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, surface hardness of sticky rice-lime mortar are much better than those of the blank sample at the same age. Moreover, the motor with the concentration of about 5% achieves the best performance.
