Abstract:
Foundation pit of the 23-storey North Building of Beijing Normal University covers an area of 9464.73m2 and its side slope is supported by soil nail anchoring and shotcreting. Due to leakage of surrounding underground pipeline, the side slope becomes unstable during earth excavation, and various measures are adopted, such as setting of anchor rods at different parts, guarantee of soil nail quality, acceleration of combined dewatering, coordination between excavation and anchorage, reinforcement of displacement monitoring, etc. Displacement and deformation of side slope of foundation pit are successfully avoided and normal construction is guaranteed.
