Abstract：
Flashboard dewatering technique and splitting grouting technique are adopted in construction of China Railway South Headquarters project. Precompression load is replaced by additional compressive strain of grouting to squeeze the water in soft soil foundation upto the ground along the plastic flashboard. In this way, water content in silty stratum or soft soil stratum may be reduced quickly and soft soil foundation can be reinforced. After inspection, it is found that this composite technique could satisfy the reinforcing requirements.
