Abstract:
Classification of building according to the factors of building energy consumption characteristics is the prerequisite for better evaluation on building energy consumption level. In this paper, 23 parameters of hotel buildings are selected from many implications of building energy consumption parameters. The principal component analysis is used to reduce the dimension of the evaluation index system, and hotel samples are devised into three categories by cluster analysis method. In the end, the building energy consumption level of the three hotel cluster analyzed and evaluated. According to the new classification method, each hotel cluster has its respective characteristics. Compared with traditional star classification, this method helps to energy benchmarking for each hotel cluster, which guides building energy efficiency diagnosis and energy management for hotels, and also provide guidelines for other buildings.
