Abstract:
Mean wind loads and interference effect on two square sections super high-rise buildings were numerically investigated, by adopting realizable k-ε turbulence model. Numerical method and parameters in the present study were firstly verified by comparing the simulated results of CAARC tall building model with corresponding wind tunnel experiment data. Mean flow field around an isolated building and two square sections super tall buildings were simulated subsequently. Characteristics of mean wind pressure and base aerodynamic forces were analyzed in different wind angle. The interference effect on the two square section super tall buildings was investigated. Flow field around the two buildings was analyzed to study the mechanism of the interference effect.
