Abstract:
This paper test the internal surface temperature in the atrium of a library in Guangzhou University, both in overcast sky and clean sky. The results show that the internal surface temperatures are generally higher because the atrium using large area glass which lead to a obvious green house effect. This article pointed out window-wall ratio, Transparent envelope thermal performance, external sun control are very important in atrium design in library in Guangzhou district and must avoid to cause green house effect.
