Abstract:
Shijiazhuang Suning appliance's Plaza is a one tower building with an enlarged base. The frame shear-wall structural mixed system with a strengthened layer is adopted to resist wind and earthquakes. Regarding some irregularity of building configuration, this paper will go through features of structural layout and elections of lateral load-resisting members, so that sufficient lateral stiffness and torsional stiffness are ensured to perform well under frequent and moderate earthquakes. The performance-based seismic levels are built based on conceptual design. Moreover, dynamic time history analysis is conducted under rare earthquake to satisfy the third performance level, i.e. collapse prevention.
