Abstract:
This paper, utilizing the software Fluent, uses the wind velocity ratio and age of air as the evaluation index to study the outdoor wind environment of the four commonly used residential district layout under the dominant wind direction. The simulation results indicate the advantage of the parallel layout relative to other layout in Changsha. And it can be concluded from the comparison of the distribution of wind velocity ratio and air age that the outdoor air age varies with wind velocity ratio. This paper will provide references for the residential district planning and design to improve the wind environment and comfort of residential districts.
