Abstract:
The laboratory acceleration corrosion tests of subway rebar under the coupling actions of stray current and chloride ions were carried out by using chloride ions external penetration method, and the effects of the corrosion features on the compressive strength of concretes were tested. The results show that the corrosion of subway rebar under the coupling actions of stray current and chloride ions develops more fast than those under the single action of stray current or chloride ions. And the corrosion speed up with the strength of stray current and the concentration of chloride ions increase. The compressive strength of subway concretes has a certain decline due to rebar corrosion. And among them, the decline under the coupling actions of stray current and chloride ions is the most obvious. The electrochemical corrosion tests indicate that it is mainly due to the existence of the interaction between stray current and chloride ion.
