Abstract:
In order to study the bending and bonding property of the autoclaved aerated concrete panels, 6 specimens were tested in a four-point bend test under a test frame using monotonically increasing load till failure. This paper was concerned with the influence of the area of reinforcement on the flexural and bonding performance of AAC slabs. The experimental results show that the failure pattern of AAC panels could be defined as the bending-shear failure and the reinforcing bar skeletons slips during big deformation and load. The result of poor performance on the bond behavior could be summarized as these indexes, such as, the corrosion of bar, the contact area of reinforcing steel bar and AAC, the effect of stirrups, the bad fluidity of slurry and low-intensity of AAC. Besides, a theoretical analysis was conducted to predict the cracking load of the AAC panel. The formula proposed by national standard was conservative, ensuring the large safety stock
