Abstract:
The applications of Precast concrete modular construction can significantly reduce the dust and noise pollution, save energy and reduce carbon emission that often occur during the construction process. This paper employs the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate the performance of the safety and quality control during the installation stage. We use the failure tree analysis method to analyze the risk resources and the quality control items of the construction method. For the identified safety and QA items, the expert scoring method is used to quantify them and establish the evaluation matrix. The results show that the construction of precast concrete structure can be effective in controlling the safety and quality. In this 110kV substation project, such advantage is more prominent.
