Abstract:
Based on the Perform-3D software, the dynamic nonlinear analysis is carried out for the engineering example by inputting three seismic waves. The seismic performance of an engineering example is assessed based on Perform-3D which refer to the acceptable criteria of elastoplastic deformation of ASCE 41. The dynamic nonlinear analysis results show that few structure stiffness to reduce under rare occurred earthquakes, and the structure in the weakly nonlinear state. The elastoplastic floor drifts and other performance targets are qualified to specification requirements. The structure meets specification “column is better than beam” and other related anti-seismic concept design requirements. And it is concluded that shear wall, frame beam, frame column, conversion truss were better than expected performance goals. The structure has a larger safety reserve, and the performance stage of structure is IO.
