Abstract:
The frame-shear wall structure is a kind of compound force-resistant system,and the frame cooperates with the shear wall to effectively optimize the structure performance. Based on the analysis of the cooperative performance,the paper discussed how to use this feature in the process of structural design. A design example results show that the reasonable stiffness collocation of frame and shear wall may effectively save the structure material and obtain the good economic benefits under the condition of meeting the specification requirements.
