Abstract：
The podium building of Sanya Beauty Crown Hotel was designed with planted roof covering an area of about 73 000 m2 and covered with 0.5~2 m thick soil. Plant root may damage the waterproof system of roof and water penetration was detected at deformation joint and roof plate of podium building. This paper introduced in details the treatment of deformation joint on roof, construction of new penetrating crystalizing waterproof coat and HDPE board. Favorable construction effects were realized.
