Abstract:
A reinforced arch bridge with uniform cross section was taken as an example and finite element software was used to establish the numerical analysis model. This paper introduced the stress value at arch foot, 1/16 span, 1/4 span and crown section of compound arch ring and the stress value at lower edge of reinforced arch ring, and analyzed the influence of height and width of the reinforcing layer on forces of the compound arch ring. It was shown that the higher of reinforcing layer increases when the span diameter and rise-span ratio becomes larger and larger, but decreases when the bridge width enlarges. After the optimal height of the reinforcement layer was determined, arch rib reinforcement method was proposed to optimize the width of reinforcement layer.
