EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF VISCOUS FRICTION FOR RETARD-BONDED PRESTRESSING STEEL STRAND

Abstract:
Adhesive for retard-bonded prestress steel strand has a certain viscosity. The viscosity is manifested as viscous friction, and affects the establishment of the effective prestress during stretching. Two experimental methods were introduced in the paper to study the relationships between the viscous friction and the temperature, and the regression curve equation was obtained. Sustaining and exceed tension method was provided in the paper to decrease the prestressing loss caused by viscous friction.
