Abstract: The high-altitude net frame assembly technique for oblique-crossing wide-span double-layer oval reticulated shell structure was adopted in the gymnasium project of Taixing Sports Center, to accelerate the installation speed, guarantee construction quality and safety, and reduce construction cost. This paper introduced various construction aspects, including installation sequence, measurement control, material and equipment requirements, assembly on ground and roof, final assembly of bolted spheric joint net frame, net frame positioning control and importance, support dismantlement, as well as importance of high-altitude assembly, etc. Some cases were described for construction safety verification and safety measures for supporting, crane lifting and high-tensile bolting, etc., providing references for similar projects.
