Abstract:
Rusting of steel bar is a main factor influencing the durability of reinforced concrete structure, while rusting and cracking of concrete protector are critical points endangering the structural safety. Steel bar uniform rusting hole expansion model was founded to analyze the elasticity and elastic-plastic deformation during uniform rusting expansion of steel bar. The calculation formula for rusting depth was deducted according to the rusting expansion force during rusting and cracking of the protector. The theoretical value calculated by using the formula coincided with test result. This paper also analyzed relevant influencing factors, such as rusting expansion force and critical rusting rate of steel bar. References were provided for durability design and service life prediction of concrete structure.
