Abstract:
Horizontal static load test was carried out for the sound barrier pile foundation of Beijing-Shijiazhuang Dedicated Passenger Railway Line to test the pile top displacement and pile body bending moment. The critical load was determined and its changing law was studied to compare with the finite element computation result. It was shown that the pile top displacement is very small under the maximum predicted horizontal load. The horizontal bearing capacity of the test pile is very strong with a critical horizontal load of 360 kN. Pile body bending moment along the pile body showed an inversed U shape, namely increasing first and then reducing, with the maximum bending moment appearing at 1-2m below the pile top. The recommended value of proportion coefficient m of the foundation soil horizontal reaction coefficient was proposed and the finite element computation result complied well with the measured result.
