DEFORMATION INSPECTION AND STABILITY ANALYSIS ON A CERTAIN HIGH FILL

Abstract:
With the deformation inspection on a certain high fill slope and the analysis of the data,
combining with the result of geological prospecting and numerical simulation, it turned out that the
slope is in the danger of landslide. The result of analysis shows that the main reason of landslide
deformation is that the new sliding produced by old slope, which is caused by increasing active earth
pressure when backfill loading. According to the above analysis, a treatment measure on the high fill
slope airport is proposed, which is mainly based on cut and backfill.
