Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to reveal and examine the architectural elements influencing synthetically on physical environment. The methods of systematic review and numerical simulation have been used. It is indicated that the influences of the plan dimension, the cross sectional form (in hot area) on the daylight and sound pressure level distribution are synergetic. However, the influences of the shape of plan, the cross sectional form (in cold area) and the skylights are inconsistent. Overall, the coordinated configurations of the architectural elements would contribute to the optimizations of the daylighting, acoustic and thermal environments at the early design stage.
