Abstract:
SiO2 aerogels were prepared by adding the drying control chemical additives through the acid catalyzed one-step sol-gel method with cheap water glass as the raw material. The results show that the structure and properties of aerogels prepared by adding N,N-dimethylformamide are the best, the density is 0.0579 g/cm3, the specific surface area is up to 704 m2/g and the average pore diameter is 18.3 nm.
