Abstract:
SiO2 aerogels are a new type of nanoporous insulation materials, widely used in aerospace, industrial, military, civilian and other fields. SiO2 aerogels have very low thermal conductivity, which makes SiO2 aerogels have a unique advantage in the insulation. However, the SiO2 aerogels are relatively brittle and resistant to fragmentation, so the study of improving the mechanical properties is the focus of the industrialization of aerogel materials. Using polymers to modify silica aerogels can effectively improve the mechanical properties of aerogels, which has great significance to the application of the industrialization of aerogels.
