Abstract:
Concrete filled steel tube arch support, as a high-strength support type, has a wide prospect. Making a clear contrast of compression bearing capacity of concrete filled steel tube arch component and traditional support component is the basis for engineering analogy design. However, at present, relevant research in this area has not been reported. In order to compare the bearing capacity of concrete filled steel tube and joist steel, calculation model has been established based on the constraint effect of steel tube. Compression calculation method is also deducted based on the model. Indoor test and numerical test of CFST and joist steel components are conducted to investigate the deformation procedure and failure mode, which also verified the correctness of the calculation method. Based on above research, engineering analogy design method is established. Results could be used as theory basis of relevant engineering design and application.
